Based completely on wear-and-tear on highways I still say that a gas tax is unfair. And this is why the the US is struggling for tax dollars to fund highway repair and upgrade projects these days.
What I think is unfair is adding cost to my efficient and light-on-its-feet vehicle to incorporate mileage-tracking capability, making me track my own mileage, or both. And I wouldn't be real enthused about creating additional government authority and/or departments to track this crap.

Well, it is pretty not functional in this early release.
There is a new app called "Server" which seems to be similar to the current "Server Preferences." I always find Server Preferences to be a joke.
Server Admin is still their, but all the Services that "Server" covers are not in Server Admin. Thankfully NetBoot and SUS are still in place as is DNS. What they may be doing is using "Server" for the consumer. And keeping more advanced features like DNS, OD, etc in Server Admin.
Notably missing from File Sharing is NFS and their are no advanced file sharing options in Server Admin.
All in all, I am pretty disappointed. I would much prefer the "Server Preferences" and "Server Admin" arrangement that is currently in SL Server. I definitely would not say this is fulling featured. At this time it is a giant downgrade

For some reason this bummed me out.
I guess I was hopeful that the developer preview was an old build with just enough for the developers to test their apps, and just enough cool new stuff to keep the public interested.
I was hoping that the build was 6 - 8 months old, and Apple was working on a build with all of the top secret features that was going to blow us away.
But I guess while there are obviously a few things up Apple's sleave, we've seen a good chunk of Leopard. I guess that makes sense given each release has 3 - 5 meaningful new features, and 20 or so little new nice touches.
I guesss my hope stemmed from the opportunity to slap Microsoft and Vista. Looks like Leopard is going to be a typical release.

people are overreacting about this.
1. you physically have to go to places and check in for anyone to see where your at.
2. you control who sees it. you can set it up so all your friends see it or only certain ones. if your worried about someone knowing your not at home. you might want to think who you have for friends on your FB account because they are the only ones that will know where you are or you aren't

If you have the 2gig plan, I wish you the best! (oh, stay away from Skype video chat and Howard Stern streaming too).
I find it so ironic that caps are the norm now and companies seem to be adding streaming services daily. It's a freight train headed in the wrong direction...data overages are becoming more and more likely.

Capacitive home button (and volume) is the way to go. Plastic makes the expensive feeling iPhone feel cheap. and it will just look sexy having the home button flush with the glass.
Another thing which hasn't been wanted as far as I know is the home button to glow in dark as it were. Pretty annoying to press the wrong side when you are in complete darkness.
Regarding touch buttons, my post above. Regarding pressing the wrong side in the dark, although I have done that a couple of times in the past, I think they make the button concave so you can feel where it is without looking. I (personally) think that a glow in the dark button would look tacky, especially because they glow in that eery green colour. :(

Considering we have evidence to suggest PP workers aiding and abetting pimps and child prostitutes (fake) in acquiring abortion I don't see how lying and doctoring documents is above them. A lie from the physician and the paperwork for that abortion getting "misplaced" are all it takes.
Also I'm very surprised at only one website "exposing" her and a couple sites commenting on it. Abby Johnson lying would come out as a bang not a whimper.

I didn't know about the discounting, makes it all the more sweeter! I don't follow Pop Factor, couldn't even name any previous winners. Kinect is more for the kids. They really enjoy Wii Sports so if there's an alternative (or blatant clone) with decent graphics for Move or Kinect, they'll be happy. It'll be interesting what 'Family' type games are released for both the new motion sensing systems. If you're going to wildly flail around the livingroom, you may as well do it in HD.
I personally just want a shiny black 360 to put under the livingroom telly. King of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match (and maybe '02 UM?), Mark of the Wolves and both Virtual-ON Oratario Tangram and Force. Just need Hori to do another run of Twin Sticks...

Maybe this should be a new feature for the folding widget: to look when you will be overtaken by someone or when you overtake someone.
No can do, sry.
I too thought this would have been a nice feature and asked EOC to maybe put that data in the xml file they provide.
They will not do it, as it takes away any necessity to go watch your stats on their page (they still do like traffic to the their pages). I understand. The best thing you can do is set yourself a goal to overtake -and maybe a threat - and start multiple instances of the widget showing their positions. :o
They did 'ok' some other changes which will be available through the widget when they implement it (well maybe a few days later). Nothing too fancy mind you, but still nice.
Not as popular as i hoped this widget :(. But my hopes were probably way to high up there :D.

The harddrive shows up on my desktop but when i go to open it nothing is there?!?!?! when i look at the info it says there is not much space left ??how do i open the files to bring into max?:confused:
Have you made sure you scrolled completely up in that empty Finder window?
And what does it say under "Format" in the GET INFO window of that HDD?
Have you also taken a look into the Trash while the HDD is connected, maybe it somehow landed there?

I'm always amazed at how much work studios go to to keep people from watching their shows.
This is the weird reality. TV Networks spend millions and even billions of dollars trying to get as many people to watch their shows for free, and then they also spend a great deal of time and money trying to stop people from watching their tv shows for free.
Imagine if they spend that energy just trying to properly record viewers for those outlets instead of weirdly begging people to watch their shows for free and then on the other hand demand they don't watch their shows for free.
