I think maybe if you're cutting 4 trillion from the budget, every single item would be effected. If we cut defense spending does that mean we want to be attacked?
What are you talking about, 4 trillion? This is an argument over the CURRENT budget (we are half way through this budget year without one). The Tea Party Republicans are holding America hostage over ideology.

Uhh.. yea. I think the moral of the story, as exhibited here on this thread, is that some things are best left neutral.
An old saying in sales is that there are two things you NEVER discuss with a potential customer: Politics and Religion.
The reason is simply because many people have their own beliefs and views, and in the case of religion and politics, they are often very strong views, which they will defend militantly.
I personally don't care, or am the slightest bit offended, if someone wishes me a 'Merry Christmas', a 'Happy Kwanzaa', a 'Jovial Hog Raping Day', or any of the probably hundreds of 'holidays' that exist throughout the year.
For the purposes of selling Macs to people, I think it's best to simply say 'Happy Holidays' instead of 'Merry Christmas! Vote Republican!'

Right now in NYC you can walk in the Apple store anytime and get the Verizon iPad. ATT models are extremely hard to find.

Not a surprise, really. I would be quite shocked if the MacBook/MBP lines were not updated before the holiday season, so I'm sure there's some truth to this report. The question, as always, is when. I'd really like to see new models before the end of October... :cool:

You do understand that it's not that they're adopting them as their primary system for day to day use, but rather they're purchasing more because (with the slight increase in popularity of the OSX platform) they have to be able to counter said OSX threats.
They're mirroring the increased OSX hacker population. This isn't really anything for any Apple fanboi to be proud of.
Someone recently said Windows is a house with bars in a bad neighborhood and OSX being a house without locks in the country.
That being true, the FBI is just reacting in the expected manner to the increasing the number of criminals in the country (due to the increased number of country houses).

I've read the various comments about problems with the updates with RAID 0. Can anyone confirm if the update goes ok on RAID 1? I would think it would since from a boot point of view they might as well be individual disks.

I would definitely take sandy bridge over what is essentially a 5+ year old CPU.
I don't think the new Intel graphics is horrible as some people suggest. But then again, I am only a light gamer.
If you set the settings to low, you can pretty much run anything on anything. I remember being able to run Crysis on a GMA950.

You ain't kidding. I drive by an Apple Store every morning for work, and there are always the same three Asian college - age students waiting outside 3 hours before opening. I assume they're there everyday hoping a new shipment came in overnight. I'm in the wrong line of work.

And I thought that Target was better than Walmart. That's a sign that these companies have too much power. They want to protect their monopolistic power over DVD sales. Its ludicrous that Target and Walmart should be able to coerce the movie studios and Apple in such a way.
